  • David Rogal, BlackRock’s Head of Inflation Linked Portfolios, will exit the company and will no longer co-manage a number of funds, including the BlackRock Strategic Income Opportunities portfolio ($43.5B) and the Principal Inflation Protection fund ($2.3B)
  • BNY Mellon plans to convert five funds into ETFs, including the BNY Mellon Municipal Opportunities fund ($1.9B), on or about January 9, 2026
  • Columbia Threadneedle registers three actively-managed ETFs: the Columbia Corporate Bond ETF, the Columbia AAA CLO ETF, and the Columbia Core Plus Bond ETF
  • Global X Management Company files the actively-managed Global X Commodity Strategy ETF, which will invest in commodities and will utilize a quantitative macro, trend, and momentum model to assist in security screening and analysis
  • Pacer Advisors files the sub-advised Pacer ActiveAlpha India Quality ETF
  • Tidal Investments registers four actively-managed, sub-advised ETFs, including the LOGIQ Contrarian Opportunities ETF which will invest in undervalued securities and companies across global asset classes
  • Bitwise Investment Advisors registers the thematic Bitwise Stablecoin & Tokenization ETF, which will track an index that seeks exposure to assets poised to benefit from the growing adoption of stablecoins, tokenization, and fundamental shifts in how financial assets are exchanged and settled
  • Effective December 31, 2025, the Loomis Sayles Bond fund ($4.5B) will change its name to Loomis Sayles Income fund, and will modify its investment objective to provide income with a secondary objective of capital appreciation (previously, a combination of current income and capital appreciation), and will remove disclosure stating that they may invest up to 20% in equities

  • PIMCO registers the PIMCO US Stocks PLUS Active Bond ETF, a fund of funds which will invest in a combination of equity and fixed income securities
  • Vanguard registers the Vanguard Core-Plus Bond Index ETF
  • Effective mid-November 2025, the Vanguard Mid Cap Growth fund ($3.1B) will increase its management fee by six basis points (bps) to 0.38%, and its total expense ratio by one bp to 0.34%, in connection to Tremblant Capital Group replacing Frontier Capital Management and Wellington Management Company as investment advisor to the fund
  • Franklin Templeton files the actively-managed Franklin Small Cap Enhanced ETF, which will invest in a portfolio of high conviction small-cap equity securities based on a proprietary quantitative multi-factor scoring model, and will be sub-advised by affiliates ClearBridge Investments, Putnam Investment Management, and Royce Investment Partners
  • Columbia files to convert three mutual funds to ETFs, including the Columbia Bond fund ($1.4B), effective in the first quarter of 2026
  • Andrew Hicks will no longer co-manage a number of ALPS Advisor and Sprott Funds, including the Alerian MLP ETF ($10.7B) and Sprott Uranium Miners ETF ($1.7B)
  • Brown Brothers Harriman Mutual Fund Advisory Department and Rockefeller & Co. will each join the sub-advisory teams of the Russell Tax Exempt Bond fund ($6B) and Russell Tax Exempt High Yield Bond fund ($2.2B), respectively
  • Alpha Architect registers the actively-managed, sub-advised DAC 3D Dividend Growth ETF, which will utilize a proprietary screening process to identify companies that increase their dividends by an average of at least 10% annually for a minimum of ten years

Week 36: 9/1/2025- 9/5/2025
  • Manulife Financial Corporation ($200B) plans to acquire a 75% stake in Comvest Credit Partners ($14.7B), creating Manulife Comvest Private Credit, effective in the fourth quarter of 2025
  • Baillie Gifford Overseas Limited will leave the sub-advisory team of the Bridge Builder International Equity fund ($21B), effective immediately; Massachusetts Financial Services Company (d/b/a MFS Investment Management) will help sub-advise the aforementioned fund, effective September 30, 2025
  • Jiwei Gu will no longer help manage $108.2B AUM of funds, including the Schwab International Equity ETF ($48.6B)
  • Tidal Investments registers nine actively-managed ETFs: three VistaShares option-income ETFs, the VistaShares Ethereum Treasury ETF which will invest in equities included in an index composed of U.S. -listed companies actively involved in the Ethereum ecosystem, and five daily leveraged single-stock Defiance ETFs
  • Themes Management Company files fifteen actively-managed single-stock ETFs, which will seek to provide approximately twice the share price return of an underlying stock (up to an approximate cap), without providing downside protection against losses
  • FIS Investor Services will replace BNY Mellon Investment Servicing (US) as transfer agent of twenty-six Victory Capital funds, including the Victory Pioneer fund ($9.6 billion), effective October 17, 2025
  • Pending shareholder approval, the Grayscale Ethereum Trust ($4.2B) and the Grayscale Ethereum Mini Trust ($2.5B) will add disclosure to state that the trust will be provided with the ability to stake the ether it is holding, with a staking fee
