Week 3: 1/19/2026- 1/23/2026
  • Russell Investment Management will replace Blackrock Investment Management on the sub-advisory team of the Bridge Builder Large Cap Growth fund ($28.4B), and will utilize a cash equitization strategy to expose its cash to the performance of certain markets through derivatives, and a completion portfolio strategy to achieve preferred portfolio positioning by investing in equities
  • Fidelity files the Fidelity SAI Real Estate Income fund, which will be managed by Bill Maclay who has managed the $5.6B Fidelity Real Estate Income fund since 2019
  • Goldman Sachs registers two actively-managed ETFs: the Goldman Sachs Data Enhanced International Equity ETF and Goldman Sachs Data Enhanced Emerging Markets Equity ETF which will both use a combined quantitative and qualitative approach focused on fundamentally-based stock selection, portfolio construction, and efficient implementation
  • Vivian Liu will no longer manage a number of Nuveen funds, including the Nuveen Bond Index fund ($22.4B) and the Nuveen International Aggregate Bond ETF ($2.5B)
  • Tidal Investments files three thematic ETFs: two actively-managed Defiance ETFs which will invest in space-related technologies and services and “Space Data Centers,” respectively, and the US Defense ETF which will track the Solactive U.S. Defense index
  • Roundhill Financial files two actively-managed ETFs, which will be sub-advised by Exchange Traded Concepts and will each seek daily returns of up to four times (4x) the performance of the State Street SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust and the Invesco QQQ ETF, respectively

Week 2: 1/12/2026- 1/16/2026
  • State Street Investment Management will add “State Street” to the names of twenty-five SPDR ETFs, including the SPDR Portfolio Developed World ex-US ETF ($33.4B, to be renamed State Street SPDR Portfolio Developed World Ex-US ETF)
  • In relation to the reorganization of The Vanguard Group into two newly established subsidiaries, Vanguard Capital Management will replace The Vanguard Group as advisor of 118 funds, including the Vanguard Total Stock Market Index fund ($2.1T) and Vanguard 500 Index fund ($1.5T), and Vanguard Portfolio Management will replace The Vanguard Group on advisory teams of fifty-eight funds, including the Vanguard Growth Index fund ($352B) and Vanguard Value Index fund ($218B)
  • First Eagle Investment Management will acquire Diamond Hill Investment Group, expected by the third quarter of 2026
  • The Dimensional Emerging Core Equity Market ETF ($7.4B) will decrease its unitary management fee by six basis points to 0.29%
  • Harvey Liu, J. Nicholas Smith, and Michael Welter will join Guy Pope in managing the Columbia Contrarian Core fund ($16.1B)
  • John Hancock files the actively-managed John Hancock Hedged Equity ETF, which will be sub-advised by Manulife Investment Management
  • Profunds registers six crypto ETFs: the ProShares Cardano ETF, ProShares Stellar ETF, and ProShares Chainlink ETF, and three Ultra ETFs which will seek daily leveraged returns of the aforementioned digital assets
  • WisdomTree Asset Management files three thematic ETFs: the WisdomTree Energy Megatrends ETF, WisdomTree Physical AI ETF, and WisdomTree Tech Megatrends ETF

Week 1: 1/1/2026- 1/9/2026
  • BlackRock registers the iShares MSCI USA Small-Cap Quality Factor ETF
  • Morgan Stanley files its first three crypto ETFs, which will each seek to track the performance of Ether, Bitcoin, or Solana, respectively
  • Three Fidelity funds will each modify their sub-advisory fee: the Strategic Advisers Fidelity Core Income fund ($87.5B) and the Strategic Advisers Core Income fund ($43.8B) which will introduce a schedule for their securitized credit mandate, and the Strategic Advisers Short Duration fund ($3.1B) which will add a schedule for its short-term bond mandate
  • Jeffrey A. Geller will retire at the end of 2026 and will no longer be a member of the portfolio management teams of twenty-one JPMorgan funds, including the JPMorgan Income Builder fund ($8.5B)
  • SEI files the actively-managed SEI QIM US Equity Factor Allocation Active ETF, which will use a quantitative-based stock selection strategy combined with portfolio optimization to invest in equity securities of U.S. companies
  • MidOcean Credit Fund Management will join the sub-advisory team of the Columbia Multi-Manager Alternative Strategies fund ($506M) effective first quarter of 2026
  • Tuttle Capital Management registers the actively-managed Tuttle Capital Ultra Income Blast ETF, which will utilize an option wheel strategy consisting of writing options on daily leveraged ETFs
  • Teucrium Trading files the Teucrium Venezuela Exposure ETF
